Build to last.

Websites · Web apps · Custom CRMs · for businesses, founders & teams.

I'm Paddy Darcy — a senior developer who designs and builds websites, web apps, and custom CRMs for businesses that want it built right. We start with a conversation, leave with a clear roadmap, and build it together.

Grafta

Problem
Solo tradesmen and small crews juggle quoting, invoicing, job tracking and receipts across spreadsheets, notebooks and chat threads.
Built
A subscription SaaS that consolidates quoting, invoicing, job management and receipt capture — with a voice-first mode so tradesmen can dictate admin from the van. Marketing site shipped alongside.
Outcome
One tool replacing four+, designed around the actual day of a working tradesman rather than a desk-based ops manager.

Mountain Lodge Mechanical Services

Problem
An outdated brochure site the team couldn't update themselves, with no clear path from visit to enquiry.
Built
A new brand-led marketing site on Next.js, with Sanity giving the team editor control and Resend routing enquiries straight to inbox.
Outcome
The team publishes updates without a developer in the loop; enquiries land cleanly with full context.

Problem
A bright, family-focused party business with no web presence to match the in-person energy.
Built
A bold, playful Next.js site with Sanity behind it so the owner can update offerings, and Resend handling party-booking enquiries.
Outcome
A site that matches the brand's energy and stays out of the owner's way when something needs to change.

How I work

Goals first.
Plan second.
Code third.

Most projects fail not because the code was bad, but because the wrong thing was built. My process is designed to make sure the thing we ship is the thing you actually need.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start with conversation. I dig into the business, the users, the constraints, and the things that aren't being said out loud yet.
  2. 02

    Define direction

Together we choose the design language, the architectural approach, and the success criteria. No imposed house style.
  3. 03

    Roadmap

You get a clear, written plan: scope, phases, milestones, decisions. Before any production code is written.
  4. 04

    Build

I ship in tight iterations against the roadmap, with code and UI you can review at every step.
  5. 05

    Launch & evolve

Deployment, handover, documentation — and an ongoing partnership if you want one.

What I build

What I build.
Adapted to your brief.

These are common shapes of work, not a fixed menu. If your brief doesn't slot neatly into one of them, that's fine — every project gets its own design language and architecture. The constant is the process: careful listening, a written roadmap, and code you can be proud to inherit.

01

CMS builds

Editable, content-driven sites with admin experiences your team will actually use. Headless or traditional — chosen for your workflow, not mine.

02

Static sites

Fast, accessible marketing and brand sites. Pixel-considered, SEO-friendly, and built to be cheap to host and easy to evolve.

03

Full applications

Production web apps with auth, payments, integrations, and the architectural discipline to keep them maintainable past v1.

04

Custom CRMs

Internal tools and CRMs shaped to your actual sales and ops process — not a forced fit around someone else's data model.

About

A developer who listens first, then builds.

I'm Paddy Darcy, a senior full-stack developer shipping applications, websites, integrations, and CRMs. My stack centers on .NET on the backend and React + TypeScript on the front — with a serious commitment to clean UI and clean architecture.

What sets the work apart isn't a signature aesthetic — I deliberately don't have one. My real strength is the process: a consultative, collaborative approach where we uncover your goals, define a direction together, and put a clear roadmap on the table before a single line of production code gets written. You leave with clarity, not guesswork.

Common shapes of work I take on include CMS builds, static sites, full applications, and custom CRMs — but those are examples, not a closed list. The design language and architecture adapt to the brief, not the other way around.
